Fenautrigues balances the rural with the convenient. Many people prefer to drive (going via the Chunnel or the ferry) so they can have their own transport and pack more! There are lots of pretty routes and interesting lanes to travel. As a guide Calais to Fenautrigues is about 8 hours.

If flying, you can leave London in the morning, have your elevenses in a French café and your lunch at Serenity. There’s a choice of airports from all different parts of the UK – have a look at this map that shows Serenity and some of the nearby airports. Here are some rough travel times:

  • Brive airport to Serenity – 1 hour
  • Rodez airport to Serenity – 1.5 hours
  • Limoges airport to Serenity – 2 hours
  • Toulouse airport to Serenity – 2.5 hours

Do check thoroughly though as some airlines don’t operate some routes during the winter. We prefer Limoges airport when possible – you can fly from Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, London (Gatwick or Stansted), Manchester, Nottingham or Southampton. There’s a really excellent site here where you can check UK to France airports and details of all carriers.

Serenity is located in the centre of the most wonderful area, very close to the pretty, bustling town of St Cere in the Lot area of the Midi Pyrenees. The hamlet of Fenautrigues itself is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Then, there is well-known Dordogne nearby with spectacular places to visit such as the famous Rocamadour.
