With a pool to splash in and a play barn where they can let off steam, the kids will be kept busy and have their own space to make as much noise as they wish. They can build dens in the woodland or use the craft table in the “arty” corner. We are in a rural area but naturally there’s wifi so teenagers can keep in touch with the outside world if they must – the speed is good enough for emails and browsing but not for streaming. There’s often 4G too. All this gives adults time to read, sip a cold glass of Chablis in the shade, or get the barbeque going. For the active there’s a cycle path at the end of the drive and lots of walking, riding, canoeing and swimming to keep them happy. Serenity (or Sèrènitè, in French) is the perfect place for a family holiday. Scroll down for “at a glance” details…

With the traditional charm of a French farmhouse but with a contemporary edge, Serenity sits in the hamlet of Fenautrigues (click to go to map) with spectacular views of the local countryside. It’s located in the centre of the most wonderful area very close to the pretty town of St Céré in the Lot area of the Midi-Pyrénées.
The Dordogne is nearby too with spectacular places to visit such as Rocamadour, with its famous cliffs and where you may see birds of prey and hot air balloons. Throughout the year there are festivals and markets, often with a foody theme, like the Strawberry Festival in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. Within an easy drive you’ll find unlimited interesting towns and villages to explore. Find out more about places to visit.
